Eric’s Children’s Books

Eric Telchin is a thrice internationally published author. His first book, SEE A HEART, SHARE A HEART was published by Penguin Young Readers / Dial Books in 2012 based on his Boy Sees Hearts project.

In 2009, while throwing a party at his home, Telchin noticed a heart had formed in a puddle of melted ice cream on his kitchen counter. Not thinking much about the spill, he photographed it. It wasn’t until he started noticing heart shaped things in everyday life that he began sharing these photos, and creating artwork out of them.

The artwork became popular in galleries and luxury online sites like Aha Life. He was asked by ABC TV’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to create a wall of hearts for a special two-hour episode featuring Justin Bieber.

Shortly thereafter, Eric was signed by literary agent, Joanna Volpe of New Leaf Literary and his first book, SEE A HEART, SHARE A HEART sold to Penguin and was published in 2012.

Through Eric’s three internationally published childrens books, SEE A HEART, SHARE A HEART (Penguin, 2012), THE BLACK AND WHITE FACTORY (Little Bee, 2016) and THE COLOR FACTORY (Little Bee, 2018), Eric has met with more than 1000 students in Florida.

Telchin’s books have been translated in German, Turkish, Korean, and Mandarin. His second book, THE BLACK AND WHITE FACTORY was a Sakura Medal Nominee in 2017. The Sakura Medal program brings together students from international schools across Japan each year to vote for their favorite books. The mission of the Sakura medal award program is to create a community of lifelong readers in international schools in Japan. The program aims for a diverse selection of fantastic and engaging books.

See a Heart, Share a Heart

A gift that opens your eyes, your heart, and your world

In 2009, Eric Telchin noticed a heart in a pool of melted ice cream, and hearts have followed him ever since. He launched boyseeshearts.com as a forum to share his "found" hearts, and an Internet phenomenon was born.

This enticing book pairs Eric's photography with short, poignant text to create the ultimate gift for anyone looking to lend, mend, or charm a heart. The simple message of being open to seeing hearts and finding love is one that will resonate with readers of all ages. Anyone can see hearts; it's just a matter of remembering to look for them.
